Parallax

After spending a few weeks playing with the idea of identity and the multiple personalities that people may have both in the online world and out in the 'offline' world I decided to make an abrupt change of path and head for an idea that I have been thinking about for a long time. What better time or place to try out my idea of an interactive online building. Just as one walks through an art gallery so to one should be able to walk to the same gallery though only online. How Many Identities Make an Identity?

I've been thinking about different themes to use in my project and one theme that seems to fit very nicely is that of identity. Passage of Time - Montage

Unlike Eisensteins Soviet montage theory in which he expresses his belief that montage is inherently dialectical, the montage that I have chosen to use is more representative of montage sequence. The first montage that I have chosen to use is from a scene in the Lion King, the ‘Hakuna Matata’ scene. This is a great example for it shows the passage of time by showing Simba grow from a lion club to an adult. The second montage that I have chosen to use is from a scene in Cool… Continue

Is a Blog Really Like a Women's Skirt?

So, here I am once again starting a blog, I created a blog yesterday for an elective called Web Art and Design and this time it's for Interactive Multimedia Design. If for some reason you are interested in my other blog please feel free to check it out at http://www.gdsigns.blogspot.com. Perhaps both blogs can work in a synergy with one another, I mean why not use the Flash that I will learn in this class in that subject and the HTML and CSS scriptin… Continue
